Caroline Is Currently Crushing On This Breezy Smock Frock

A smock dress is the perfect definition of a relaxed and breezy outfit. It’s a flattering look on nearly every body type as it is closely fitted on top and tapers out from the bust, adequately covering up any problem areas you may want to hide. Interestingly enough, the smock dress dates back to the 18th century and was worn by rural farm workers as it was easy to move around in. For my #HauteList pick this week, I chose a pretty little dress by the indie label Olio because it has summer written all over it. From the pretty pastel pink colour to the practical design and breathable fabric (it’s 100% cotton chambray) — there’s nothing I don’t love about this dress. The Olio Stories designs clothing that can be worn all day every day by the chic girl on the go, and I think it’s going to be my go-to day dress this season. Also, anything that has buttons on it makes me go weak in the knees. It’s really adorable!
