The glitters, glam, and lehengas have arrived for the Diwali season and we are excited! The annual Diwali party in New York is called, “All That Glitters Diwali Party” The festive season began on Saturday with the who’s who of Indians living overseas. It’s the one night of the year when multiple worlds collide—think actor Nora Fatehi, filmmaker Mira Nair, comedian Hasan Minhaj, and Imran Amed, founder of BusinMaitreyi Ramakrishnaness of Fashion, all under one roof.
The night’s dress code was ‘South Asian Black Tie’, and the results were far from modest. Falguni and Shane Peacock, who have been co-hosting and dressing major guests for numerous years, delivered their best couture ensembles directly from the runway, complete with tulle and tassels. So, let’s see who the ones who stole our hearts were!
1. Anjula Acharia
The host Anjula Acharia wore an embellished mermaid-cut couture ensemble made by Falguni Shane Peacock and Cartier panther jewels in diamond and some Jimmy Choo heels. Her outfit was phenomenal and she owned every bit of it.
2. Maitreyi Ramakrishnan
Maitreyi Ramakrishnan channelled her inner Devi in this beautiful golden lehenga and we are fans! The actress wore Anita Dongre with a long braid folded in Gajras. She looked stunning and was definitely one of the best dressed from last night.
3. Nora Fatehi
Nora Fatehi stole the show with her dance at the party and became a global sensation. The actress and dancer opted for a silver saree with emeralds which accentuated her body and we just fell in love with her outfit.

4. Mona Patel
Mona Patel stole the light in an embellished pink saree with colourful embroidery all over it. The diva went for a slick back bun look with a huge emerald maangtikka and a stunning bracelet. Her look was perfect for a Diwali party.
5. Sabyasachi Mukherjee
Renowned Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee wore a black sherwani with his grandfather’s pashmina shawl. His look was subtle yet screamed festive.
6. Falguni Peacock
The stars of the night Falguni and Shane Peacock looked stunning together. Falguni wore a beaded lehenga inspired by the Rang Mahal with some Miu Miu heels
