Q: Tell us about your look for Blenders Pride Fashion Nxt, what are you wearing?
Mrunal Thakur: I’m wearing a beautiful JJ Valaya saree at Blenders Pride Glassware Fashion NXT in Hyderabad. It’s paired with a lot of jewellery and the drape is very futuristic at the same time there’s a jacket which truly defines the classic JJ Valaya, black and white design. The outfit takes inspiration from the 3 overarching themes of Blenders Pride Glassware Fashion NXT – it’s a mix of ‘Interglamatic’ and ‘Gloss and Glam.’

Q: What is that one element in your makeup kit that you use for a bright glow?
Mrunal Thakur:I think it is rice water.

Q: A summer skincare makeup hack?
Mrunal Thakur: Apply a lot of moisturisers and hydrate your body and your skin. People just keep applying a lot of makeup at the same time and don’t drink water so internally, you need to stay hydrated at the same time and moisturize your body as much as you can.

Mrunal Thakur: I love the ‘interglamatic’ vibe that means when you inculcate futurism into fashion as Rimzim Dadu does. I love how she designs her clothes; it has a metallic vibe and at the same time a saree, you know I like Rimzim’s style.

Q: What does Fashion NXT mean to you?
Mrunal Thakur: Fashion NXT means the next wave of fashion. It brings in global trends and inculcates them in our traditional looks. For example today, the kind of look I’m wearing is so rooted, but yet has a futuristic approach. It’s a beautiful black saree with a classic JJ Valaya black and white jacket. I absolutely can’t wait to wear something like this on a global platform as well.
