Mira Kapoor’s Closet Full Of Neutrals Made Her The Best-Dressed Guest At Sidharth, Kiara Wedding
Slaying as always!

Mira Kapoor and her style will never disappoint you. Between shoots and attending weddings, Shahid Kapoor’s wife is always the most well-dressed guest on every special occasion. For Indian traditional shaadis, the star is always more willing to explore neutral tones, which allow her to explore rich fabrics and colourful embroideries. Having attended the latest celebrity wedding of actors–Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, Mira joined her husband–Shahid, who shared screen space with Advani in Kabir Singh. For this grand wedding in Rajasthan, she trusted a colour palette filled with dusky browns, ivory, and powder pink.

In between her luxurious embroidery designs, Kapoor crafted a contrasting colour palette from her husband–Shahid, throughout the functions. According to the pictures shared by her, first up was a signature Anamika Khanna design, featuring a cut-work blouse, a pair of fitted ghararas and a scalloped jacket. Perfect for an evening event, Kapoor stepped away from striking colours and allowed her standout embroidery, mixed with golden thread work to take the limelight. For accessories, she picked a pair of bronze, sun-motif earrings, and a statement emerald-encrusted pearl bracelet.

Amidst her neutral-filled closet, and more dusky colours, Mira chose to pick a rose pink saree for the wedding day. Similar to bride Kiara’s wedding lehenga, Mira’s Manish Malhotra organza saree featured contrasting aqua blue embroidery, with geometric borders. A similar colour play was visible on her slim choli, presenting a mix of blue and rose-gold thread and sequin work. She further completed the look with a pair of polki and kundan jhumkas and a twinkling bindi.

Our favourite piece from Kapoor’s wedding closet was this pearl and ivory kurta set. The beautiful Faraz Manan, Pakistani suit set, featured a tonal embroidery overlay, with a mix of sheer, see-through neckline, with dainty collar and button strap. The interesting silhouette was teamed with a pair of form-fitted, narrow pants, punctuated with a warm-coloured, floral shawl. She completed the look with a pearl potli bag and hair pulled into a ponytail. The colour and silhouette remain perfect for day events and rekindle our love for early 70s retro pants.

Last but not the least, Kapoor showed up at the wedding reception in Mumbai, wearing an ethereal ivory saree. The design by Arpita Mehta was flooded with dull gold and silver, taar embroidery, alongside mukaish work on her pallu. Mira’s blouse, with a padded lining, had a sexy halter-cut neckline, with a similar floral thread detail running throughout the fabric. For this one, Mira chose to accessorise the look with diamond, leaf earrings and a beaded, ivory clutch. Ivory is currently soaking in all the spotlight at Indian weddings, so you have another reason to recreate Mira’s reception party look.
