This is How Much Meghan Markle’s New Royal Wardrobe Costs

Ever since Prince Harry and Suits actress, Meghan Markle, made their first public appearance together in September 2017, at the Invictus Game, all eyes have been on the soon-to-be royalty. From what she is wearing to where she is going, everyone has been obsessed with each and every move of the Suits actress, and it is safe to say that she never disappoints with her fashion choices.

And no wonder. A recent report suggests that in her first 9 outings with Prince Harry, Meghan spent over a whopping $28,688 (approx 18 lakh) on clothes. Don’t you wish that was the budget for your wardrobe?!

Even her Christmas service outfit alone cost around $10,000 (approx Rs 6,49,650)!

The question that arises now is who is dropping the big cheques for these expensive outfits?! Turns out Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have paid for all these clothes and bought these themselves, says a report by People magazine. It is a royal norm, and royals are not allowed to accept designer clothes for free (unlike… ahem… ahem… our Bollywood celebrities!).

Unlike Kate Middleton, Prince William and Prince Harry, Meghan Markle cannot use Prince Charles’ $28 million (Rs 1,81,82,24,800) Duchy of Cornwall income. Meghan will only be able to access these funds after the wedding on May 19, 2018. Everything until then will come out of her Suits income.

So… how much money does Meghan Markle really make? Well, according to Time magazine, Markle made an estimate of $50,000 per episode by the end of her Suits contract. Her annual salary with some additional gigs is a massive sum of $4,50,000 (Rs 2,92,34,250) per year.

While not all pieces from her wardrobe are easy to find, here is a look at some pieces she has worn, and how much they cost:
