Parineeti Chopra recently tied the knot with politician Raghav Chadha in a spectacular, intimate ceremony, set in Udaipur. For her special day, Chopra chose designer Manish Malhotra for her big day and picked a simple, ivory lehenga choli for the same. Her handcrafted bridal lehenga designed by Malhotra, paid homage to her love story and her groom Raghav. In a brand new video posted by Manish Malhotra, we got an insight into the designer’s atelier.
The designer gave us a peek into the making of Chopra’s bridal lehenga from scratch. The ivory and champagne lehenga blouse took almost 2,500 hours to come to life. Embellished with silver tilla and threadwork, the skirt featured Chopra’s love for geometric designs with shadow embroidery. Decorating the tonal ecru base was an intricate hand embroidery, alongside Nakshi and metal sequins. Following a similar pattern, the tulle framework dupatta, with a pearl-filled border. For a personal touch, Chopra decorated her head with a special, floor-length veil featuring the name of her groom–Raghav in Devnaagri.

The clips featured Parineeti trying her lehenga, prior to her big day. In the video, Manish asks Chopra–”What do you think,” as her first reaction to her bridal look, to which Chopra replies–”The world is not ready.” Much like Kiara Advani, Chopra picked a pink chooda, and emerald jewellery to style her bridal lehenga. She definitely looked like a royal bride.
