Malavika Mohanan Looks Like A Fabulous Pin-Up Girl In This Polka Dot Dress And We Want One For Ourself

The house of Gauri & Nainika has always kept us on our toes with overtly feminine, sweet and romantic silhouettes. The queens of gowns, peplums, ruffles, big bows, and all the organza in the world, we can recognise their creations from a mile away. Celebrities have caught on to this distinction as well. Whenever someone like Deepika Padukone or Katrina Kaif is in need of a big floral dress, they turn their attention to them. The girly charm of their designs is something we have always loved and honestly have considered raiding their stores one of these days. But of course, we are won’t (*wink*)!

Talking about Gauri & Nainika dresses, we recently spotted one that warranted a squeal of joy because of just how pretty it is. Malavika Mohanan took to her Insta handle to share pictures of one her outfits that has her channeling proper ‘pin-up girl’ realness. All she needs is a headband with a cute bow on top or and a much more ‘shocked’ expression and her poster can go up on the wall of any fashion editor’s office. It is damn adorable.

Carefully styled by Archa Mehta, Malavika’s look came complete with pearly hairpins, tie-up pumps, and candy-coloured glam to match the dramatic polka dots. The flirty print combined with an asymmetrical, yet flattering silhouette is what we are looking at here and it’s charming. We don’t nearly talk about stocking up on polka dot dresses as a wardrobe essential, even though it is such a versatile style. It is somehow both a dressed-up look for a party and a dressed-down one for a date…just change the shoes!
