Mahira Khan Draped Her Saree In The Coolest Way Ever!

The Pakistani beauty, Mahira Khan made her debut last year opposite King Khan, and ever since, our nation has been obsessed with her. We at Hauterfly, however, have been drooling over her style sensibilities and fashion choices. Winning us over, one more time, Mahira gave her saree the coolest twist with a quirky drape.

We have seen the nine yards of elegance being reinvented and take many variations over the years, such as; a pant-style saree, dhoti saree, saree gown, palazzo saree and more. There has also been fusion infused into sarees via blouse styles, like the cold shoulder blouse, shirt style blouse, off-the-shoulder blouse and more.

Adding to the list of contemporary drapes is Mahira Khan, as she attended an award show held in Pakistan. For the event, this beauty from across the border, wore an abstract print saree by a Pakistan-based designer Mahgul.

Now, this is the fun part! She paired the abstract print saree with a white shirt style blouse that ties in the front, and slid the saree’s pallu through the shirt blouse.

This style of draping is new, refreshing and needless to say practical! Because who has the time and patience to adjust and readjust 9000 pins, to keep one single pallu in place?! We thoroughly love Mahira’s cool and quirky take on the saree!

She further accentuated the look by styling it with mini half moon tassel bag (which, btw, is a HUGE trend!). Statement earrings, a fresh face of makeup along with hair worn in a low bun punctuated her look.
