Mahira Khan
The popular Pakistani actress recently tied the knot with businessman Salim Karim. For her three-day-long wedding festivities, Khan welcomed a bundle of designer creations, decorated with the brightest of hues. In new pictures on her Instagram handle, we spotted some lovely pictures of the bride, enjoying her intimate mehendi ceremony. On the special evening, Mahira enjoyed her mehendi with friends in a bright yellow saree, made by her “Khadija.” Khan’s sunny yellow saree featured a massive spread of thread and sequin embroidery work on the pallu and blouse. The subtle-toned embroidery work was further accessorised with a stack of yellow bangles and hair left loose.
Kiara Advani
Actress Kiara Advani celebrated her special day with her groom Sidharth Malhotra in co-ordinated, custom outfits by Manish Malhotra. Unlike most celebrity brides, Kiara paid special attention to her mehendi look and picked a dazzling yellow and ivory lehenga for the same. Accessorising the same, she picked a three-tier Kundan and gemstone-embellished necklace, with matching earrings. She further styled her ensemble with hair tied into a loose braid and bangles.
Athiya Shetty
Athiya Shetty built a minimal, and sorbet-hued bridal trousseau for her wedding to cricketer KL Rahul. For her special wedding festivities, the actress rooted for the culture veteran chikankari through lehengas. Dressed in an understated Anjul Bhandari lehenga, Shetty paid homage to her grandmother’s lovely collection of jewellery with heirloom shoulder-grazing jhumkas on her bridal mehendi. Unlike most celebrity brides who choose colours, Shetty’s twinkling mukaish and shadow-work, cream lehenga was uniquely styled with a slim blouse and double dupatta, alongside a maang tiki and bindi.
Katrina Kaif
Katrina Kaif totally relied on her designer Sabyasachi, to build her bridal trousseau. Channelling the traditional, desi look, Kaif picked a twirl-worthy lehenga choli from Sabyasachi’s popular atelier. Dipped in bright gotta work and colourful borders, Kaif’s hand-embroidered lehenga was the perfect tribute to India’s rich heritage in embroideries, and luxurious textiles. The colourful look on Kaif was styled using a statement maang tika, kundan necklace and earrings set, with a matching dupatta.
