By the looks of it, there is just one woman in Bollywood RN who can slay the role of an impeccably dressed sultry woman…Madhuri Dixit Nene. This absolute legend is back on the big screen with scene-stealing roles. On top of that, she is also going through a style revolution and we feel blessed to witness it!

There does exist a styling trope in Bollywood to put anyone over 40 in a beautiful saree and call it a “look”. Apart from names like Tabu and Neena Gupta, we hardly see actresses put into smarter ensembles. Which was the case when Madhuri decided to make a comeback, SO MANY SAREES!

But, all that seems to be in the past, though, because Madhuri is going through a second coming-of-age. She has very unfairly stepped up her fashion game and made us feel like garden gnomes next to her.

IIFA Reds

Madhuri stepped on the green carpet of IIFA 2019 in an ensemble that made her stand out in the best way possible. Among the many uninspiring gowns that we saw this year, the red Tanieya Khanuja outfit on Madhuri stuck out like a rose among thorns. It is so simple yet elegant. An all-over red, including the belt and crimson lips, looks absolutely stunning on her. Shaleena Nathani has done a great job with Madhuri on this one, it is chic styling at it’s best!
