A heartwarming video recently shared online by the Lucknow-based NGO Innovation For Change has captured widespread attention. The video features a group of underprivileged children from a Lucknow slum who recreated an iconic Sabyasachi Mukherjee bridal campaign, showcasing their talent and creativity through handmade ensembles inspired by the famous designer’s aesthetic.
Lucknow Kids Recreate Sabyasachi Bridal Campaign
This reimagined campaign was inspired by Sabyasachi’s recent Heritage Bridal collection, known for its vibrant reds and timeless appeal. After seeing the designer’s campaign, the kids decided to create their own interpretation, crafting red bridal outfits from donated clothes and materials. Young girls, aged 12 to 17, designed and modeled the looks, while the entire video production—from filming to editing—was managed by other teenagers eager to learn photography and videography.
The NGO behind this creative project, Innovation For Change, supports these children, many of whom come from struggling backgrounds, in exploring their talents. This initiative highlights the incredible creativity and resourcefulness of the young team. Ranjana Kumari, one of the teenagers involved, expressed her excitement about the unexpected popularity of the video, mentioning how it feels like a dream to receive admiration from celebrities and the public alike.

This latest project is their way of celebrating fashion while imagining a brighter future, with some of the young artists hoping to one day work professionally in fashion, makeup, or media. Through the success of this project, the children are not only gaining skills but also experiencing a moment in the spotlight that could open doors to new opportunities.
