Lakmé Fashion Week has kicked off in style today, March 19, 2026, at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre, with its latest edition running through March 22. Partnered with FDCI, this four-day event features top designers and new talents, haute couture, and ready-to-wear styles. Everyone is especially excited about iconic designer Manish Malhotra’s showcase, presented by NEXA. The legendary designer is making a huge comeback after a few years away and is debuting his new luxury prêt collection along with the MM Accessories line. However, a shocking piece of news has come on the opening night of LFW.
As per sources, the show has been cancelled following the passing of the designer’s mother earlier this evening. Sending love, strength, and heartfelt condolences to Manish Malhotra and his family.
