For the after-party, bride Kritika Kamra skipped the obvious sequinned lehenga route and straight dipped into some archival fashion. She opted for a vintage John Galliano Dior bias-cut dress from the Spring/Summer 2004 collection, and the girls who know, know, because Galliano’s bias cuts are sacred texts! Not only did she track down the beloved vintage piece, but the dress itself was in immaculate condition even two decades later. The silhouette skimmed the body effortlessly, holding its shape as it had never left the runway.
That’s the magic of well-made archival fashion. The jewellery sealed the deal too. Minimal but striking, it added just enough sparkle without interrupting the clean bias-cut line of the dress. Gaurav, like her, chose conventional evening tailoring. His double-breasted grey tuxedo, worn with a clean white shirt and silk tie, provided a classic contrast to Kamra’s bridal elegance.
