Kriti Kharbanda Reveals Her Chooda Ceremony Outfit Paid Homage To Her Mother And Nani Ma

Kriti Kharbanda just recently got married to Pulkit Samrat in an intimate wedding ceremony hosted in Manesar. For the same, Kharbanda picked up an acid green saree by Ekaya Banaras teamed with an off-shoulder blouse, revealing her collar bones. The lovely colour was further styled with hair styled into a sleek ponytail and a simple dewy makeup look. What added more thoughtful details to the look was the addition of a red dupatta. The speciality of this dupatta was that it came from the wardrobe of her mom, who wore it on her wedding day.

Illustrating the story behind her look, Kriti further mentioned–”Naani ma ka haar aur ma ki shaadi ka dupatta!” These were the two things that she since childhood decided to wear on her chooda ceremony. Through the long caption, Kriti poured her heart out and mentioned how the morning of the ceremony was all about high emotions, and feeling the absence of groom Pulkit Samrat, who as per rituals was not allowed to see his bride before the wedding. She further mentioned–”While we did things our way, a few things were still old school. I wish he was a part of this moment too, but sigh, I loved the look on his face the first time he saw these pictures and was bowled over.”

Another interesting detail in Kharbanda’s bridal look was her choice of the classic red chooda, which she was too sure about. Speaking about the same, Kriti mentioned how–”Laal chooda and traditional kaleera’s were a non-negotiable too. The number of people who tried to convince me otherwise was insane. But I’m so glad I stuck to what I wanted to do and didn’t look back.” Well, we’re also glad she went for the OG red. Kriti and Pulkit were Anamika Khanna’s bride and groom in pink and pistachio green wedding outfits. The two tied the knot on March 15, 2024.
