Kim Kardashian is known for making headlines every now and then, be it for her sartorial choices or her relationship drama or something else. This time the reality tv star is making headlines for her fashion struggles. Recently, the Skims founder partnered with luxury fashion label Dolce & Gabbana for their latest Spring Summer 2023 collection. Kim K wore a stunning piece from the luxury brand’s latest collection at the Milan Fashion Week. While she did look beautiful, there was a downside to the designer ensemble. The bodycon dress was so tight-fitted that the reality tv star couldn’t even walk properly. Kim Kardashian shared a video of herself struggling to climb the stairs in her Dolce & Gabbana outfit and matching heels on her Instagram story. She can also be hopping up the stairs. The video shows Kim laughing as she struggles to get into her car as 2-3 women help her. It wasn’t long before the video was picked up and went viral on social media making us all wonder how far can one go for the sake of fashion.

Designed in collaboration with Kim Kardashian, the Dolce & Gabbana outfit is a piece from the luxury label’s new collection which is a reworked version of a series of archival creations from the 2000s and the 90s. These pieces were reportedly handpicked by Kim. The outfit worn by the American socialite was a silver bodycon gown heavily embellished with crystals featuring a lace-up front and sides. Kim paired the look with matching shimmery silver strappy heels.

Now, I get it that beauty is pain but Kim Kardashian’s sartorial choice is not the kind of pain we regular people are willing to take. We may be guilty of wearing uncomfortably tight clothes or staggering in heels but in all honesty, what’s the point of investing in an outfit that does not even allow you to walk straight without a few people helping you maintain your balance. All this just to look stunning and pose for the camera? Well, we’re really not convinced. Moreover, fashion doesn’t always have to be so complicated and we wish designers and brands understood that.
