Forget Tiring Lehengas And Trust These Kiara Advani Approved Traditional Co-ord Sets

Forget Tiring Lehengas And Trust These Kiara Advani Approved Traditional Co-ord Sets

Who doesn’t love weddings? Apart from hitting the mandap incase it’s your vivaah, we all enjoy being either the baraatis or the dulhaniya squad, or even sometimes a guest who’s here for the food. And while occasion wear comprises a larger section in almost every Indian closet, the need to shuffle your stacks to serve the latest trends is something we often indulge in. While tedious, twirl-worthy lehengas have become a spot reserved for the brides, guests often wish to slide into a fresh silhouette. This evolution of a wedding guest style has led to the creation of shararas, sarees, and now the uber-cool, pant-sets. In favour of both comfort and style, these traditional sets come sprinkled with a touch of culture and power play. Often teamed with long capes, stunning corsets or even a regular blouse, stars also have found affinity towards these semi-ethnic pairings.

And if you ask us to name one. Then, it has to be actress Kiara Advani. Currently, on promotion duties for her upcoming film–Jugjugg Jeeyo, Kiara has found a quick fashion fix in these breezy sets. While her love for monochromatic pairings has found a separate fanbase, these modern sets turned traditional, call for ease during weddings. Hence, taking inspiration from some of our favourite pieces, from the Jugjugg Jeeyo star, you too can opt for one for a wedding next month.

Classic White

Kiara’s personal style has always been about minimalism and enough legroom to burst into a quick dance on her hit songs, during promotions. With the incorporation of dainty chokers, Kiara hopes to find a balance between delicate and dazzling. And a great example of this marriage is the latest white, pant set on her. The white three-piece set pulled-off by the actress features a light-weight salwar-pant, tightened around the ankle, a long, sheer cape and a matching blouse. Now to add some colour to the monochrome look, Kiara opted for a kundan, and pearl choker, headlined by emerald. What we love about this look, is that it’s perfect for summers, because of the shade and supremely light fabric, and Kiara tying her curls into a ponytail, allows the intricate tonal embroidery to shine. This set is perfect for during the day festivities.

Red Remedy

Another promising look in Kiara’s film promotion closet talks about a similar silhouette, but with a twist. Skipping the usual pants, Kiara’s all-red look revisits her love for shararas, which offer both form-fitting and flare. Here Kiara dishes out a brand new look in a printed sharara, teamed with a matching jacket and embellished blouse. To highlight the glimmering thread and sequin work on her blouse, Kiara hit the skip button for any form of neckpiece and opted for traditional jhumkaas. This is a great option for evening functions.

Blue Divine

If swimwear marries traditional dressing, then this look would be their child. Sultry and sanskaari, what I absolutely love about this ensemble is the incorporation of a bralette with boot-cut pants and a cape. Picked from the shelves of designers Rishu & Vibhuti’s label, this ensemble adds a bang-on perspective to semi-ethnic dressing. Featuring long, wide-legged embroidered pants, a geometric bralette and a sheer, blue cape, Kiara brings together a mix of designs, tassels and glitter lines. Balancing the glimmer of this entire set, she then steps away from over-styling her hair or even concentrating on makeup. This has to be our favourite piece from the entire list. Again, a perfect look for sundowners, or evening soirée, one can invest in a piece like such.

Bandhani With A Twist

Opting for Bollywood fashion’s current favourite–Bandhani, Kiara styled one during the press tour of her previous hit film–Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. From the colour to the silhouette, Kiara speaks at length about the importance of seasonal dressing. A textile which is dear to India’s cultural history, came teamed with a statement embroidered bralette-esqué blouse. Decorated with mirrors and shells, Kiara’s Rajasthani turned bohemian look, was accessorised with chaandbalis, a sheer green dupatta and a matching bindi. What’s also interesting about the overall ensemble, is Kiara’s half-bun hairstyle, which adds more character. This is definitely a fun three-piece set for haldi and mehendi functions.

A Powerful Yellow

The colour yellow is always associated with positivity and strength, which is exactly what Kiara channels through this ensemble. Toning down the bright and sunny side of this shade, Kiara brings our attention to the intricately tailored embroidery. The set as seen on Kiara comes straight from the shelves of designer Ritika Mirchandani’s label. Adorned with crystal-esqué embroidery and glitter, the sharara set resembles the actress’ taste in traditional wear. What also makes the piece a winner for us, is the addition of shoulder pads, that effortlessly stitch power in the silhouette. This could make up for a great wedding day ensemble for your BFF’s wedding.
