Its rather rare that we spot, two leading ladies twinning and kinda winning at similar award shows, right? But Hello Hall Of Fame Awards 2022, gave us a *same pinch sister* moment last night, and we’re not sure how to feel about it. And sharing the moment were actresses Kiara Advani and Ananya Panday, sporting their versions of a ponytail braid. Marking her stylish attendance at Hello Hall Of Fame Awards 2022, Kiara opted for label Dhruv Kapoor’s sequinned, strappy number in the shade yellow for the red carpet. Featuring a plunging neckline, the sequinned attire in the shade sunny-yellow with a thigh-high slit, was teamed with a stunning pair of floral earrings by jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali. Styled by celebrity stylist Lakshmi Lehr, Kiara channelled the hairstyle of the season–ponytail braid energy through her awards night ensemble, and we gotta say the braid is officially the new cool.

Similar to Kiara, Ananya Panday too styled her braid with label Aadnevik’s black layered french lace and tulle gown from its AW/20 collection. Also styled by Lakshmi Lehr, Ananya Panday punctuated her all-black look with a stroke of ice-blue eye shadow and a nude lip shade for the Hello Hall Of Fame Awards 2022. Ananya’s outfit incorporated a feather detail throughout the silhouette, with a backless, halter neckline, secured with a silver zipper.
Much like Kiara’s, Ananya Panday’s black tulle gown also came attached with a long trail. Flagging off the cool braid trend, the two actresses chose to style their hair in a similar andaaz and we couldn’t keep ourselves from saying ‘aila, yeh toh same to same hai.’
On a serious note, ponytail braids are going big this year, and we would like to mention our global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas, for being one amongst the few trendsetters in the realm, and trying a long-long one out during The Matrix promotions (yaad, aya?). Edgy and summer friendly, you too can opt for one just like your favourite celebs, to beat the heat this coming garmi ka season.
