From Pretty Swirls To Corset Dresses, 10 Pieces From Khushi Kapoor’s Closet That Give Off Kool Girl Vibes

By  |

Khushi Kapoor is one of those, who often make frequent visits to my Pinterest mood board, all thanks to their style. Channelling the cool-girl aesthetic, the Archies‘ star is yet to make her big Bollywood debut but her sartorial sensibilities have already declared her a star. And amongst the many new faces making a buzz on the internet, Khushi manages to stand apart and glow brighter with her style. This is probably why we love every picture that Janhvi’s little sister blesses our screens with.

An interesting aspect of every look, that Khushi aims to create is its credibility in delivering the best style trends. Then be it pretty swirls, floral sundresses or sultry co-ord sets and swimwear, there’s never a time we are not tempted to hit that Instagram ‘save’ button. And if just like us, you love this Gen-Z star’s closet, then this list is the perfect destination for you.

A Classic Plaid

The magic of plaid never fades away, and Khushi Kapoor’s latest post confirms it. While we’ve been drooling over spring prints and solid colours, this checkered green dress seems like a nostalgic piece which is also refreshing. Dipped in deep green, this number is perfect for anyone who is still in favour of classics and is always unsure about experiments. Take your style a notch up with this colour-block T-shirt dress from Urbanic.

Channelling her inner Maddy from Euphoria, Khushi seems to be in love with the entire aesthetic of this on-screen character. While lace-ups seem pretty risqué to pull off, you can never go away from trying at least one of ’em. A gorgeous co-ord set as such is both versatile and trendy. Dress it as separates or pair it like a set, you can relive the world of Maddy’s fashion yourself. Bas, don’t go looking out for your Nate, ‘cos a toxic man is riskier than this set, sis! For starters, you can try this multi cut-out top and pants from H&M.

So Good Swirls!

If you can’t resist the urge of buying a candy number that in most cases is sure to make you look like a clown, this dress on Khushi Kapoor is your saving grace. A simple silhouette, marinated with candy-coloured swirls, the combination of pink and red is never too old to pull off. Also, the addition of the Jacquemus belt bag is brilliant. Wanna try one too? Then checkout this swirl-print dress from NA-KD X Mira Kapoor collection.

A Spring Dream

Juggling between colour-blocked pairings, Khushi is often seen squeezing a dream girl aesthetic into the line-up. This sundress is all things romantic and perfect for a lazy afternoon at home. Pick it in a flashing violet or tone it down with jewel shades, the dainty design is sure to dish out a winning look. We recommend this floral printed dress from H&M.

Cool Sets

Apart from cotton tier dresses, and schiffli white skirts, one thing that makes the summer heat bearable, is the uber-cool design language of these shirt sets. An outfit pairing that even Bella Hadid trusts, this lemon short-shirt set spells comfort through every hem. Offering enough legroom and space for your body to breathe, you can stack upon these gorgeous sets in different shades and even test your taste with an array of prints. This monochrome set from Urbanic can be your pick.

Skater Skirts

While skater skirts have been serving as a veteran silhouette style in the world of sports, my love for them bloomed at the glimpse of Katrina Kaif romancing Ranbir Kapoor in “Tera Hone Laga Hoo.” And that’s exactly when I knew I realised my deep feelings for Mr Kapoor and this version of a micro-mini. And while I am not sure of Khushi’s favourite style references, she too seems to share a similar interest, and I am hoping to buy another piece just looking at her picture. You can opt for this striped skater skirt from Myntra.

Beach Please!

Many of us seem to shy away from the idea of beachwear. I mean, it’s already so tough to convince my parents for a trip to Goa, the idea of a swimsuit is a dream I am hoping to only see in my sleep. But not anymore, because Khushi Kapoor’s pick in this category gives me some hope. Going past the super sultry, uncomfortable swimwear designs, this three-piece lilac set can be an interesting first piece in your soon-to-expand collection. What’s also cool about her idea to dress up for a dip in the pool, is this addition of a gorgeous kimono-esqué coverup. So, in case you’re looking for the exact same piece, then check out this Lavender coverup as seen on Khushi and Very Peri swimsuit from Flirtatious India.

Kurta Love

Amongst a list of fabrics, designs, embroidery and style, chikankari has earned a popular spot in the ethnic wear closets of young women. Owing to its delicate yet alluring embroidery, a Lucknowi kurta is by default a go-to pick for the youth today. And this purple kurta set in Khushi’s wardrobe speaks it out loud. For those looking forward to experimenting with more Indian ethnic styles for everyday wear, this Sakiya Kota straight kurta in classic white from House Of Chikankari is your pick.

For Special Occasions

Special occasions call for supremely special pieces, and we think this corset dress on Khushi is the one. Stepping into the trend of corsets, Ms Kapoor chose to wear Barbie’s favourite pink in a corset dress for her birthday dinner. As lovely as it looks on Khushi, we think the silhouette’s form-fitting and chic outlook favours every kind of dresser. Plus, the minimalism gives some space to experiment with jewellery. You can find your pick from Emblaze at Nykaa fashion.

The current obsession of almost every ‘it girl’ is rooting for one-shouldered necklines. From tank tops to ultra dressy silhouettes, the trend is here to find its mate in every design. And we think Khushi Kapoor has already hopped on the bandwagon. A chic, marble-printed chocolate brown number, as seen on Khushi comes with a tiny cut, that separates the two pleated straps for a dramatic finish. The design also offers a mix of corset bodice and cinched panels, which replicates the print design.

In short, both marble prints and one-shouldered silhouettes make up for a winning piece. We suggest considering this asymmetrical mini dress in the shade green from Revolve or experimenting with prints and opt for this mesh marble printed bodycon dress from the same label.
