It is the season of India’s favourite festivals and we are ecstatic about the joy of dressing up. From celebrity homes to their wardrobes, everything is dipped in the brightest colour. Welcoming the festivities with Ganesh Chaturthi, celebrities from Katrina Kaif, Sharvari Wagh, Shilpa Shetty and more have picked out their sartorial best for the biggest celebration. And while we are in awe of their effortless, occasion wear looks, we think you’d wanna steal a tip or two to dress up for the festive season. Take a look.

Katrina Kaif

Actress Katrina Kaif arrived at Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Sharma’s home for Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. Posing alongside husband/actor Vicky Kaushal, Katrina twinned with him in yellow ethnic wear. Styled by celebrity stylist–Ami Patel, the Sooryavanshi actress opted for a delicate, georgette sharara set by designer Tarun Tahiliani. The loose-fitted set incorporated a short kurta, paired with roomy sharara pants, and a matching dupatta. Keeping the look minimal, Katrina opted for delicate jewellery pieces from label–Diamantina Fine Jewels.

Shilpa Shetty

Welcoming the festive cheer, actress Shilpa Shetty wore the brightest of colours possible. On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Shilpa picked a lovely pre-draped leheriya saree by designer Punit Balana. The geometric concept saree-skirt was teamed with a leaf-green pallu, marodi work blouse and an embellished belt. She further accessorised the look with traditional Motyanchi Nath (maharashtrian nose pin), statement choker and green, glass bangles.

Shraddha Kapoor

Actress Shraddha Kapoor welcomed lord Ganesha and tons of modaks in a traditional paithani saree. The actress’ choice of a drape came dipped in shades of vermillion red and green. The extended green, pallu featured gold floral motifs and a thick border fencing the saree. Shraddha completed the look with a delicate gold nose pin, a traditional chandrakor bindi, and statement temple earrings in gold. We love this Marathi mulghi!

Sharvari Wagh

Much like Shraddha, actress Sharvari Wagh too picked a gorgeous saree to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi. The Bunty Aur Babli 2 star wore a leheriya saree in shades of fuchsia pink, red and orange and teamed it with a matching beetroot red blouse. For jewellery, Sharvari skipped a pair of earrings and decorated her neck with stunning gold and pearl choker. We loved her soft-glam avatar for the festivities.

Tejasswi Prakash

Actress Tejasswi Prakash celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with beau Karan Kundrra. The actress celebrated the occasion in a white, chikankari anarkali suit. Unlike her previous occasion wear looks, Ms Prakash decided to go basic and minimal and opted for no accessories. The sleeveless, floor-length kurta came paired with a sheer, white dupatta that featured a golden border. Some jewellery would have been great, Teja!

Sara Ali Khan

Actress Sara Ali Khan also welcomed Lord Ganesha in a bright, orange and green kurta set. The actress’ occasion wear featured a printed, short kalidar kurta, a pair of wide-legged, flared pants in the shade orange and matching sheer dupatta with gold border. Sara accessorised the look in her signature style, by adding a stack of two-toned green bangles, gold chaandbaalis and a red bindi.

Sonali Bendre

Similar to actress Tejasswi Prakash’s colour pick, actress Sonali Bendre, dazzled in an ivory saree. The metallic drape in the sheen ivory shade came straight from the shelves of label–Anavila. Completing her look with a massive neckpiece, and dainty ear studs, Sonali picked her jewellery from label–Urban-thesaurus. For saree lovers, the shade is a new favourite amongst celebrities and perfect for the festive season.

Genelia Deshmukh

Actress Genelia Deshmukh posed with husband/actor Riteish, her kids and dog, for a family picture. Welcoming the festive season, Genelia rounded up a look in a white anarkali, angrakha suit by designer–Ishita Singh. The stunning chikankari set in white, featured long-trailing tassels, and a see-through, golden-bordered dupatta in the same shade. Genelia completed the look with a pair of oxidised earrings and a red bindi.
