Ace Indian designer Tarun Tahiliani took on a new journey, as he unveiled his latest book–Tarun Tahiliani–Journey To India Modern. The designer hosted a special gala, exhibiting the rich heritage of India, that spoke about his love for the country’s exquisite history in garments, textiles and art through words. This exhibit was a celebration of modern India, that is often seen through his lens.

At the launch of the showcase, we spotted actresses Sobhita Dhulipala, and Katrina Kaif, who made some impeccable sartorial choices. Both actresses picked India’s favourite silhouette–saree, and made us feel their presence. Channelling a minimalistic approach, Kaif and Dhulipala, were an absolute vision in modern-day drapes. Keeping it simple, and traditional, both were dressed by Tarun, who welcomed them to the special evening.

Katrina Kaif picked a saffron saree, that accurately described her personal style. With immense simplicity, Kaif’s choice was a bright orange saree, embellished with gold borders. Combining the same, the actress picked up a brocade blouse, featuring a sleeveless design and a v-neckline. For accessories, Katrina picked a pair of shoulder-grazing jhumkas and let her hair loose.

Sobhita on the other hand, picked a modern-day glitter saree, with a sequin-loaded pallu. The blush pink number featured symmetric trails of sequins teamed with a thick border. Her sheer, see-through pallu was matched with a similarly-dyed pink blouse, with cap sleeves, and a sexy backless design. Sobhita further styled the saree with a pair of pink ear studs and a glossy makeup look.

Well, we definitely loved both their approaches to styling a saree.
