Kate Middleton walked the red carpet for BAFTAs this year. The Duchess of Cambridge made a head-turning sustainable fashion choice, with an upcycled gown by Alexander McQueen. The same gown, with a one-shouldered detail, was worn by the Duchess in the year 2019 to the same awards night. The upcycled version of the silhouette featured a little knotted bow on her shoulder, ruching on the bodice and the addition of an accessory. Unlike the previous time that she wore the McQueen gown, Kate Middleton elevated the entire look with a pair of velvet opera gloves in the shade black.

Accompanied by her husband, Kate arrived at London’s Royal Festival Hall, and gave a major nod to royal glam, with her ensemble for the evening. To the internet’s surprise, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a pair of drizzling, floral earrings. Not loaned from her royal heirloom treasure but bought from the aisles of brand–Zara. Priced at $28, which is INR 2,318, Kate Middleton instantly made her floral appliqué earrings a big hit.

The Princess is an advocate of sustainable fashion, and has many times repeated her outfits for special events. She also believes in striking a balance between sustainable and affordable style. We honestly think her choice of affordable Zara earrings is like every other girl who cannot keep herself away from Zara. This also is a significant move by the Princess, that makes the Royal member look like a commoner. What do you think?
