Designed by Anita Dongre, Kapoor’s vibrant number featured a trail of gold sequin-work, embellished with a velvet neckline, and bell-sleeves. Embodying the essence of a kalidaar kurta, Kapoor’s midi-dress became her statement pick for the evening. Styling the same, Karisma picked a stack of gold accessories, with hair sealed into a ponytail and a jazzy potli bag to stuff all her essentials.

Another way of styling India’s favourite silk was presented by actress Poorna Jagannathan. For a lavish Diwali party in the states, Poorna also trusted Anita Dongre.
