Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Style Evolution On ‘Koffee With Karan’ Is P.H.A.T.
Believe it or not, Koffee With Karan is hum sabka favourite, but yeh secret no one shares. From celebrity gup to cool new fashionable looks, stars arrive for this Koffee couch every year and well, make it straight to the headlines. While I am always eager to know who said what, another question that makes it to my wishlist is, who wore what? And arriving with the best of answers, celebrities are always in their pretty perfect style to make an impeccable statement. But talking about the OGs, and the trend makers, one name who undoubtedly has ruled the famous couch is actress Kareena Kapoor Khan. From her unapologetic statements to her style files, there is nothing that this diva has not tried and has probably been on the show, as much as the host Karan Johar. And looking back at Kareena’s style evolution at India’s much-talked-about coffee sessions, we are travelling back to observe the evolution of Mrs Khan’s style on all the hottest seasons of Koffee With Karan.
Season 1
For the first season of Koffee With Karan, Kareena arrived with actress Rani Mukherjee and well, spilt a lot of tea. Marking her debut on the show, Kareena picked a scintillating, sequin dress in the shade pink and reminded us of her character Poo from K3G. The ruffled, mini dress, featured a halter neckline, decorated with multiple sequins and channelled the movie star aesthetic of the early 2000s, pretty well. The look was again a hit during that era, all thanks to Kareena’s experiment with highlighted, blonde hair that made it to the trendsetting list. Her ear danglers and pink tapestry bag became the winning element of the look.
Season 2
Kareena Kapoor’s sartorial decision for season 2, remained relatively similar to her look in season 1. Trusting the red family, Kareena opted for a pleated, A-line dress, featuring a halter neckline and ruffled accents and sequin embroidery throughout the fabric, in shades like beetroot red and mauve. She continued to flaunt her blonde hair and accessorised her look with diamond earrings and a metallic silver clutch bag. For this particular season, Kareena shared the Koffee couch with then partner, Shahid Kapoor.
Season 3
A major change in Kareena’s personal taste was pretty visible in the third season of Koffee With Karan. The actress arrived for the show, with her now-husband, Saif Ali Khan and looked spectacular as usual. Making a major shift from babydoll dresses, to more subtle silhouettes, Kareena wrapped herself in a stunning chiffon grey saree by designer Manish Malhotra, and teamed it with a strapless, bandeau-esqué blouse. Uff, so hot. Definitely, one of my favourite looks, throughout the seasons, Kareena jumped to an extreme mix of minimal and chic, as she attempted to put a look together. Staying away from jewellery, Kareena was off her blonde hair and channelled a more natural look through her makeup and styling.
Season 4
For one of the most sensational episodes of Koffee With Karan 4, Kareena arrived with cousin Ranbir Kapoor and the rest is history, if we may say so. Continuing with her streak of pink attires, she opted for a strapless pink gown by designer label– Monisha Jaising, that featured ruched detail on the bodice and right above the slit. Kareena further accessorised the look with a statement-making diamond neckpiece and her words were enough to compliment her ensemble on the show.
Season 5
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s journey on Koffee With Karan talks a lot about her changing personal equations and work life. From single to being married and soon-to-be mother, Kareena graced the couch during every important phase of her life. For season 5, Kareena arrived in a breakthrough, maternity look. And as Karan Johar himself said, she made “pregnancy so fashionable.” Kareena’s mom-to-be glow was perfect in a black gown, featuring a bandeau-esqué bust. Keeping her face makeup minimal, Kareena settled for barely done eye makeup and a lip gloss, that matched the shine of her four-tier pearl necklace and soft hair curls.

Season 6
Another splendid season of the Koffee couch happened with Kareena taking the hot seat with fellow star Priyanka Chopra Jonas. From discussing their historical feud to lovely proposal stories, the actresses bonded over on season 6 of Koffee With Karan. Complementing PC’s high-octane, highlighter green number, Kareena was a vision in a deep red glitter gown. Styled by celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania, Kareena’s sequin gown by designer label–Monisha Jaising, featured a thigh-high slit, decorated with ruffled accent that complemented the drama added by the padded shoulders.
The trailer of Koffee With Karan Season 7 is finally out and the lineup seems to have missed quite a few of our favourite faces, including Kareena Kapoor Khan. Well, all that we hope is for Karan Johar to surprise us with a special segment with Ms Kapoor, because how can we have a season without her, right?
