Last night, Kareena Kapoor Khan welcomed her close friends to celebrate her 42nd birthday. Celebrities from Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor to Karan Johar and Malaika Arora arrived in amazing and boring looks to party with Bebo. With black being the unofficial theme (or was it an official dress code? We wonder!) of the event, many stars arrived for the celebrations donning the classic colour. Let’s start with the most fabulous and well-dressed star of the evening. Malaika Arora arrived for the birthday bash in a classic little black dress. Malaika’s party look incorporated a chic Balenciaga bag in the shade of metallic blue. Sprinkling some sass on her black slip dress, Ms Arora picked a pair of Versace chain-lock heels with a gold accent and tied her hair into a messy bun.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor
Parents-to-be Alia and Ranbir arrived for the celebrations in rather sober looks. For Alia, her current-maternity mood found the perfect piece in an asymmetrical, printed black dress, rounded up with a fitted shrug and gold hoop earrings. And while Alia at least tried to dress up, Ranbir walked in blue jeans, a matching t-shirt and a military green beanie. I mean, why?

We’d say Karan Johar understood the assignment and was rather in a mood to experiment. For the special dinner, KJo arrived in a black, oversized pantsuit that accurately presented his love for bold typography. The filmmaker/producer further rounded it up with a black t-shirt, wolf-shaped crystal pendant and a pair of white Balenciaga sneakers.

All and all, thanks to Malaika Arora and Karan Johar for acing party dressing, because kisi ko koi haq nahi hai ki they attend Bebo’s birthday in boring looks. Not fair.
