Bollywood Dressed Up In The Most Interesting And Quirky Outfits For Katy Perry’s Welcome Party And We Are Impressed

Wasn’t just two years ago that pictures of Ed Sheeran partying with the best of Bollywood surfaced on the internet? You know the ones where Ed looked he wanted to be anywhere but there? Our stars are clearly fans of the genre because yet another pop icon spent an evening rubbing shoulders with them. Ahead of the OnePlus Music festival where Katy Perry is scheduled to perform, Karan Johar threw a lavish party for her and celebs showed up in their Thursday bests (if that’s even a thing!)

A self-professed party planner, Johar’s soiree was attended by many of his A-lister friends. It was fun to see these celebs in their DTP (down-to-party) garbs. Perry, who is one of most fashionable artists in music working today, provided a good contrast to our fashion girls with her signature style of reflective bright colours and girly silhouettes. She also sported her fab platinum blonde hair in a high pony, bringing disco-girl vibes to her ensemble.

From the pictures that are all over Instagram, we know that celebs like Kiara Advani, Aditi Rai Hydari, Neha Dhupia, Shanaya Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and other B-town names were present at the bash. The fashion at this party is especially fascinating for us since it is unlike the usual scene that we see our stars in. Their outfits reminded us of something we would pick out for our own nights of going out dancing with the girls. Normally we wouldn’t peg plaid patterns as an outfit for a party. But Alia’s Robert Einer ensemble comes with fringes, golden tassels, a cute skirt, and a belt.  We love this structured look on her and paired with clear heels, this is exactly the kind of fashion statement we expect a young starlet to make.
