10 Times Kajal Aggarwal Proved She’s Got Serious Style!

10 Times Kajal Aggarwal Proved She’s Got Serious Style!

If you look at Bollywood, you’ll see two kinds of style stars. 1) Those who wear the best clothes but don’t really leave an impression (because well, they just couldn’t pull it off), and 2) Those who effortlessly stun you every time they step out.

And frankly, Kajal Aggarwal has rightfully found herself in the second lot. Had we asked you if you thought the same a year ago, you’d probably only recall her as the Singham actress with no real style hits to her credit. But over time, the actress has become a noteworthy fixture among B-Town’s sartorial stars. What I like is that Kajal’s style evolution cannot be credited to just one stylist. In the recent past, she’s had her looks curated by stylist Triporna Majumder, and has also worked with Anisha Jain and Neeraja Kona. I think that’s a smart move when you think you’re in something of a style rut.

Judging by her flawless and evolved personal style of late, here’s a look at all the times Kajal stunned us with her stylish ensembles. Take a cue with every picture and give her a standing ovation folks, because this woman is slaying it in style!

1. The Culotte Jumpsuit

Do you think anyone can go wrong wearing an Anavila ensemble? Heck no! With this look, Kajal works the culotte jumpsuit trend effortlessly. The actress teams her look with a statement neckpiece from Amrapali; the pop of colour instantly amps up the overall look and I love that. Also, the addition of that brown belt and brogues works perfectly.

2. Two-Tone Pants

Honestly, I can’t recollect someone attempting a quirky look with such ease. Wearing an Urvashi Joneja outfit, Kajal works a pair of two-toned pants with a white button-down shirt with lace panels on the sleeves. Since the pants have all the drama a look needs, she has gone sans accessories and that’s a smart move. She’s completed her look with Steve Madden shoes. Here’s inspiration to try something new and add more than one hue to your ensemble!

3. A Denim Shift Dress

Kajal opted for a Shahin Mannan shift dress for one of her on-duty outings recently. The embellishments — they’re little scooters, in case you didn’t notice — are adorable, aren’t they? Kajal teamed her dress with white sneakers from H&M. This is such a casual yet stylish look. Also, she’s worn a sleek hairdo that is just apt!

4. A One-Shoulder Jumpsuit

If you thought Kajal could only dole out casual looks, here’s proof that her red carpet style is just as much on fleek. Opting for a one-shoulder jumpsuit by Isabel Sanchis, she stood out at GQ India’s Best Dressed Men Awards 2016. That single long sleeve adds the right amount of drama to this all-white outfit, with the silver metallic belt breaking the monotony perfectly.

5. Working Sequins In The Right Amount

Sequins have always been my favourite, and there’s just one style tip when working them: it’s about finding a balance. Too much of it can look downright tacky. With this look though, Kajal works just the perfect dose of oomph. She’s wearing a Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna ensemble — a sequined, open-back top with a pair of black trousers. I like that she opted for glossy black pumps, keeping the focus purely on the top.

6. On-Trend With Off-The-Shoulder

A number of celebrities and street style stars have shown you how to work the off-shoulder trend this season. But with this outfit, Kajal keeps it rather casual in a Shift by Nimish Shah dress. She’s also worn a pair of adorable mustard sneakers (custom hand-painted by Abhinav Singh); just what you need for a monochrome outfit.

7. The Belted Dress

Kajal opted for a Bungalow 8 belted dress with Gucci t-strap sandals. Thinking of mixing prints? Here’s a classic example of mixing monochrome checks in a single outfit. Also, the belted detailing on the dress adds a serious dose of chic to it. Frankly, this dress speaks volumes, and I like that she’s let that happen without accessorising.

8. Working Flared Sleeves Like A Pro

I’ve already told you that flared sleeves are THE detail for any outfit this season. So, there’s no way Kajal would not have worked it, considering she’s been on-trend with most of her looks. But I like how she has opted for a short flare-sleeve dress by Victoria Scandale instead of a long-sleeved one. And guess what? She works it like a pro.

9. A Pant Suit

Another great boardroom-inspired look that Kajal got perfectly right. Like I mentioned earlier, the power suit on the red carpet is unconventional yet super stylish. I like how this structured pant suit by Joseph looks on her statesque frame. She’s teamed it with metallic pumps by Dune. Sleek, right?

10. Doing Desi With Ease

Just when you thought Kajal is all about western outfits, she worked this ethnic look that is nothing short of perfection. In a Sabyasachi sari and Krsala jewellery, Kajal went all out with this ensemble: love the addition of that gajra and bindi. She’s proved her mettle as a style star, and I’m definitely keeping an eye on her!
