Jennifer Lopez’s Handkerchief Ralph Lauren Wedding Gown Is A Modern-Day Heirloom Design
After a happy month of their first wedding, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck again tied the knot, this past weekend. In presence of close family members and dearest friends, the couple sealed the deal at their home in Riceboro, Georgia. The lavish wedding ceremony sang the happy song in white, with both the guests and the couple dressed in the swan-hue. Jennifer, who stole a piece from her own closet for the nuptials in Las Vegas, decided to go all out with her bridal gown, this time. She sure had designer house–Ralph Lauren pinned on her mood boards, as she paraded at each one of her wedding parties in a piece from the label’s shelves.

For the grand wedding, our very own Marry Me star walked the aisle in a custom, Ralph Lauren handkerchief wedding gown. Loaning inspiration from its past collections, the designer house weaved a special look for the bride. The silhouette in white featured a sky-high turtle neckline, complementing the column-esqué bodice. What had the onlookers take an extra minute to appreciate the design was the addition of close to 1,000 hand-cut handkerchiefs, aligned with intricate ruffle detailing to make up the monumental flare. The handkerchiefs here remained a token of the happy times and a piece of nostalgia. Like a queen, JLo’s ruffled neckline came adorned with dainty feather detailing and a replica of the skirt, resting on her sleeves. The sheer back was further decorated with a linear setup of white buttons.

The veil on her head extended to the floor in dramatic layers. She further resorted to a dewy and minimal makeup look and tied her tresses into a neat bun. Take a look at the making of her bridal look.
Complimenting his bride in white, groom Ben too trusted Ralph Lauren’s couture magic to dress him up for the big day. In the pictures, we spotted the actor in a classic white tuxedo, teamed with a white shirt and a black bow-tie.

Besides the big wedding day, JLo also dressed up for her grand wedding receptions in the same designer house. The second, custom-made design was a scintillating piece of glamour. The form-fitting gown in white featured a chandelier-like pearl finish, handcrafted by thirty artisans. The breathtakingly spectacular silhouette exhibited a crowded finish of pearls and Swarovski crystals. The third look perhaps was a minimal version of her wedding gown, with a hooded veil, headlining the crystal embroidery on the key-hole neckline and a sultry embellished back.
