Actress Janhvi Kapoor is currently keeping extremely busy, all thanks to her latest release–Mili. Throughout the media tour of the film, the actress also trusted a bunch of sarees, mixed with Hollywood-adored gowns, and suddenly appearing printed sets. Basically, confused! But this time, the actress has us wanting for more.

In new pictures on her Instagram handle, Janhvi posed for the camera in a spectacular Versace dress. For Kapoor, the safety-pin trend was an irresistible pick, and we think she did justice to it. Wearing the luxury label’s famous range of safety-pin locked designs, Kapoor slid into a glossy satin gown. The silhouette here gave a nod to another runway-favourite trend and seeded its trust in multi-cut-outs. Examining the sultry charm of a thigh-high slit, the silhouette featured a peaking keyhole format, lingering around her neckline.

Closing the widening keyhole, a Versace-monogrammed safety-pin in gold was masterfully placed at the end. A string of these golden embellishments, not only mended the risqué silhouette but sprinkled an edgy sartorial emotion on the look. Furthermore, the fabric exhibited a ruched detail around the waist, accompanied by full sleeves. Styled by celebrity stylist–Lakshmi Lehre, Kapoor further resorted to a pair of gold hoop earrings, to match the mood of the dress. She also added a few statement rings in the same hue and picked up a pair of chunky chain heels to finish the look.

For hair, the Mili star chose to straighten her tresses up, and trust a caramel-matte-themed makeup to seal the deal. What we loved about the entire look was Lehre’s idea of bringing back the shade of electric blue. The sassy colour play between this vibrant shade of blue and dull gold was an interesting combination to witness on Janhvi. And for someone who usually leans towards glittering, shimmer gowns, satin made up for a winning experiment.
