Janhvi Kapoor Gives Jewel Mauve A Traditional Update, And We Are Here For It

Actress Janhvi Kapoor makes sure to surprise us with her sartorial decisions. For the promotional tour of her latest release–Mili, the actress rounded up a roster of confused, but equally impressive ensembles, and mixed two worlds of ethnic Indian, and Hollywood glam for every new look. And while she collects praises for her performance in the film, she continues to amuse us with her style, in of course a new set of pictures.

As styled and shared by celebrity stylist–Tanya Ghavri, we spotted the actress in a delightful semi-ethnic look. Kapoor’s ensemble in jewel mauve was a collective effort put together by labels–Antithesis, and Atelier by Amreen Sandhu. The actress’ semi-ethnic look featured a bustier-esqué blouse, teamed with a sheer cape. Matching the glitz on her blouse was a crystal trim detailing on her jacket coverup.

What impressed us the most about her look was Janhvi’s idea of exchanging shoulder-grazing jhumkas, with a pair of heart stud earrings. The heart bloom earrings by label–Golden Window, helps Kapoor, channel a glitter mood, but in a limited amount. A part of this spectacular jewel mauve ensemble was also Kapoor’s dreamy makeup look. With masterfully curled-up lashes, Kapoor’s face followed the colour palette of her outfit, with a thin layer of purple eye shadow, and glossy pink lips.
For hair, Janhvi rounded up a messy ponytail and looked right into the camera. The Mili star’s indeed confusing style mood for the film’s press tour was also filled with a gamut of semi-ethnic silhouettes, cape-like placed dupattas, and leather mini dresses. Take a look at some of these looks.
