From Custom Anamika Khanna To Saaksha And Kinni, Halsey’s Fantastic Ode To Indian Fashion

International pop star Halsey was currently in India, doing the rounds of Mumbai for the latest edition of Lollapalooza. The “Eastside” singer made an attempt to pay homage to Indian fashion, by wearing three Indian designers during her time in the city. Exploring India’s love for artistic couture, and colours, Halsey collaborated with three designers for custom-made, re-invented designs from their already existing aesthetics. Here’s what she wore and how!

Anamika Khanna Couture

Wearing Anamika Khanna couture, the custom-made outfit on Halsey was the perfect twist to her personal sense of style. The pearl-white and tinted off-white set featured a see-through, long-trailing blouse with tattered lace work and a sheer cape. Combining the same, Khanna’s eye for details was visible through Halsey’s shredded satin pants, with a distressed patch, dug on the knees, and decorated with a similar lace work. She styled the look with embellished heels, her signature berry lip shade and sheen makeup.

Arpita Mehta Ruffle Saree

India aaye aur saree nahi pehni? Well, this isn’t possible, right? Halsey gave her very own spin on the saree, with Mehta’s signature ruffle saree in place. The popstar picked a light-weight, off-white number featuring a semi-sheer blouse and a uniquely draped pallu. She styled it with an aari-work golden bag by Fizzy Goblet and some emerald jewellery.

Saaksha And Kinni’s Mirror Magic

For her time on the stage, Halsey brought a unique mix of Gujarati mirror and thread work, alongside checkered plaids. The top on Halsey was picked from the shelves of designer duo Saaksha and Kinni, who are known for their electric, mirror-soaked design aesthetic. Representing India in a piece, the blouse soaked in details of aari, thread and mirror work, with an infinity cut and a tiny tie-up detail. Halsey marvellously styled it with a school-girl plaid skirt, a statement kohl look and some colour.
