Putting together a wedding is hard, from the outfits to the guests and well, FOOD, Indian weddings can wreak havoc on brides’ nerves. Unless, you are a Kriti Sanon She’s fun, she’s free-spirited and she does not care about being bridezilla, she’s bridechillah! She’s the epitome of chilled out shaadi vibe, the kind who will know how to make her wedding an event to remember. Although she isn’t planning on getting hitched anytime soon, this star’s latest feature in a bridal magazine is so proof of the same!
Kriti Sanon is the cover star of Brides Today‘s August issue and has managed to inject her effortless charm in the feature.
Guest edited by ace couturier Tarun Tahiliani, the feature sees Kriti as the modern bride who is in it for the fun! Commenting the concept of the shoot, Tahiliani said, “Often when brides talk about the English or pale tones, they want something very sophisticated and ethereal, Indian yet global, and vintage modern. So we have the two piece peplum lehenga in a refined construct of pleats, french knots and of course our signature tulle drapes, impersonating the caress of a dupatta without having to manage it. Kriti is strong like an armour yet exudes innocence”, he elaborated. We do love the idea of functional wedding outfits that let us get on with our moving and grooving!
The magazine released a teaser of the feature yesterday and we could instantly tell it was her. She’s dancing and doing a little booty shake while the a top designer is fixing her dupatta!
The comedic actress herself seems to agree with that narrative. Giving a glimpse into what kind of a bride she would be, Kriti said, “I want to be chill. I want to wear something pretty, but not uncomfortable or heavy. I want to be myself and dance at my own wedding, not just attend to people or pose for photographs. I would love to wear sneakers—I would not be wearing heels, for sure. And I have a feeling that I won’t be someone who would cry during the bidaai. I’m a die-hard romantic. To me, effort is sexy. It’s about the little things you do for your partner without an occasion, without being asked,”, she further confessed. The fact that Kriti is willing to forego stilettos in favour of sneakers with a lehenga just made our day. How cool is she!
