Hina Khan Lights Up Our Instagram Feed In Her Swan-Like Ruffle Saree

Last night, Bollywood stars arrived for this year’s Lokmat Most Stylish Awards. Amongst the many spectacular looks served by the industry’s big names, actress Hina Khan brought her fashion A-game with a spin on the classic saree. A ruffled saree on Hina Khan rekindled our love for this unique style of drape. With the festive season knocking on our doors, Hina’s idea of occasion dressing gave an interesting twist to the saree.

In pictures on her official Instagram handle, we spotted Hina wearing a swan-like white saree by designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. The impeccable drape featured a statement ruffled detail, originating from the hemline. The all-white silhouette displayed an overlay of white, tonal embroidery, incorporating a neat appliqué work mixed with flat-sequin geometric design. To match the drama on her drape, Hina picked a gorgeous, semi-sheer blouse in the same shade, that came sealed with delicate tassel closure at the back.

For accessories, Hina chose to go the classic way, with emerald-encrusted, teardrop earrings and multiple finger rings. A not-so-common name in terms of hair experiments, Hina chose to seal her long hair into a braided bun. To match the whimsical lustre on her saree, Hina went for a minimal base and topped it all off with truckloads of highlighter for a shimmering look.

Well, it definitely isn’t the first time that the actress has chosen unconventional silhouettes, in the category of ethnic, traditional dressing. For Hina, a newer approach toward the classics is always a winner. Much like this jacket and organza saree set from label–Torani, and the corset met draped skirt and cape by designer–Tarun Tahiliani, Hina has always displayed her liking for sartorial experiments.
