The #HauteSquad is perpetually broke. No, really. While we’re scouring the net looking out for pieces for you to flaunt, we indulge ourselves a lot too — we are but mere mortals. Each member in the team is obsessed with fashion, and not a day goes by when we’re not dressed all stylish and sassy. So we decided to give you a sneak peek into our closets and show you what each of our favourite items of clothing are. Needless to say, we had a blast shooting this.

ZARA Reversible Bomber Jacket

“Bomber jackets are all the rage this fall, and my go-to is this delightful little piece from Zara that I could literally live in. What I love is that this lightweight reversible jacket is two pieces for the price of one. On one side it’s plain black and has a beautiful flamingo emblazoned on the back, while the other site is a satin-y olive hue with sporty black and white trimming — perfect for both work and play. I mean, who doesn’t love a double-duty wardrobe essential?”

COS Skirt and H&M Top

“I bought this A-line high-waisted skirt from COS in Stockholm two years (and it still fits, yay!). Apart from the colour — a lovely, rich purple — I love that this skirt has pockets! I mean, who doesn’t love clothes with pockets? It sits pretty on the narrowest part of my waist, accentuating my #DesiGirl curves. But even more than the skirt, I love this black basic top from H&M. I picked it up in Dubai a few months ago and it goes with absolutely EVERYTHING! Not only does it fit perfectly, it also hides my problem area — my upper arms. I wish I picked up more of the same one — at the rate at which I wash and wear it, I’m afraid it will be in tatters soon!”

ONLY Little Black Dress

“My style might be boring for some, but I seek comfort and that is exactly what this dress from ONLY is for me — stylish comfort. I can wear it to work, parties, brunches, or even funerals — the LBD is a gift to womankind. My go-to outfit whether I’m in the mood to dress up or not! Plus, it is a sure-shot formula to look great, you just can’t go wrong!”

Max Waterfall Jacket

“Trust me when I say this, but the easiest way to look chic and put-together is a good jacket! I love how my military green jacket channels this season’s au courant shade while providing a smart silhouette. Get the look with this sexy jacket that you’ll want to rock, come winter!”

— Farozan Dossani, Social Media Editor

Zara Off-Shoulder Top

“If there’s one item of clothing I never (ever) forget to pack in my travel bag, it’s this gorgeous summery Zara top! I absolutely love the print and it’s the perfect addition to any look for an insta-worthy #OOTD!”

— Snehal Fernandes, Head of Video Content

KOOVS Front Split Maxi Top

“My current wardrobe obsession has got to be a split-front tunic maxi top I bought from KOOVS. It’s been my recent impulse purchase and I can’t seem to get enough of it. To be entirely honest, I love wearing whites — it’s minimalist, clean, and, just like the LBD, you can dress it the way you want. So I can literally style this maxi top to work either casual or dressy. It’s also an added bonus that the flowy silhouette makes me feel like Superwoman!”

Mango Bohemian Jacket

“I am currently obsessed with this Bohemian jacket that I picked up from Mango. The geometric embroidery adds the perfect dash of jazz to any basic outfit. Oh yes, the bold print does bring me a lot of attention, in which I happily bask! In fact, there have been times when random strangers have asked me where I bought it from! That’s called being in the spotlight for all the right reasons!”

— Meghana Choraria, Social Media Executive

H&M Slip Dress and Vero Moda White Blouse

“A girl can never go wrong with monochrome and whenever I’m, in doubt, I always find myself reaching out for my trusty LBD. My favourite is a slip dress from H&M that’s very fashionable at the moment, and since I wanted the ensemble to look office-appropriate, I paired it with a white blouse from Vero Moda.”
