The extravaganza of FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week has us all excited. Returning back to Mumbai, the upcoming fashion week has an exciting lineup for everyone. From conversation around sustainable fashion, and new-age designs to technology meeting style, the roster for the latest edition of FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week is filled with exciting names. So, let’s dive into some of our favourite designer presentations, that we are excited to witness.

1. Starting up with the first showcase of the week, designer Anamika Khanna will open the latest edition of FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week on October 11, 2022. The designer’s newest Pret label–AK-OK will present the much-awaited menswear line, alongside the womenswear collection. With Fountain of Joy at Jio World Centre being the perfect location for the presentation, Anamika Khanna’s AK-OK will exhibit the designer’s latest experiments with denim, silk, handmade shibori and more.

2. Besides that, the following days at FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week will bring skincare and style onto the runway, with the designer duo–Pankaj & Nidhi. Other exciting collaborations at the event will bridge the gap between fashion and technology, as designers, Amit Aggarwal and Saaksha & Kinni will join hands with RealMe GT NEO 3T phone, and the leading brand in PC peripherals–Logitech, respectively.

3. Conversations around sustainable fashion will enter the room with designer Anju Modi’s collaboration with TENCEL™ and designer duo– Gauri & Nainika’s midnight botanica collection with R|Elan. The exciting partnerships will push the envelope, advocating the green fashion movement.

4. Another interesting partnership between IPL Team Gujarat Titans and leading streetwear designer Kanika Goyal will light up the runway with a fan-special streetwear collection. This marriage between cricket and fashion will be a delight for the fans of the IPL team.

5. Besides up-and-coming designers taking the centre stage, master couturier–Shahab Durazi will return to the runway after 12 years. The presentation will be an interesting addition to the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) showcase of the season. The collection will bring back the couturier’s affair with shades black, silver, white and grey.

6. Designer collections by–Gaurang, Payal Singhal, Khanijo and Pawan Sachdeva are amongst the other names who will bring forth their spin on festive fashion. This year’s special edition will also celebrate sustainable fashion day.
