5 Fashion Trends From 2017 We NEED To Carry Into The New Year!

Fashion trends of 2017_Hauterfly

The year 2017 has given us some great fashion trends.

While there was some misses that were absolutely bizarre (should we remind you of those clear knee jeans?), most others were pretty big hits!

In fashion there is a really fine line between ‘yay’ and ‘nay’, and thankfully, this year has given us more ‘yays’ then we can imagine. A lot of the trends were modifications of overdone 2016 fashion statements, which got something of a mini makeover in 2017, making them some of the year’s most trendy styles.

Since, the year went past us in a jiffy (and we really aren’t ready to say goodbye yet!), here are 5 fashion statements from 2017 we’d love to see carried forward into the new year.

1. Deconstructed Blouses

Since off-shoulder shirts were a massive 2016 trend, it got a cool 2017 revamp via a more deconstructed look. From one-shoulder tops to oversized sleeves and intricate cut-outs, this chic trend created a wave in the fashion world and that’s why it needs to extend its stay into the next year.

2. Long-line Vests

Long-line vests in all shapes and forms were really trending this year — from desi prints to simple yet chic duster jackets. Adding an element like a sleeveless long-line vest to your outfit gives it a real touch of glam!

3. Flared Sleeves

Let the flared sleeve affair continue in 2018 because we’re not ready to move on! Bell sleeves or flared sleeves were a fave among celebrities and bloggers, and clearly we love them too. This can either be in the form of shirts, knits, or simple blouses — they just need to have a bit of flare at the end.

4. Frayed Denims

It was all about the no-hem distressed denims this year! Frayed hem jeans were spotted on celebrities like Shraddha Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, where they took the 2016 ripped jeans element and gave it a raw twist. While, the ripped trend will always be a favourite, we think this one will also go down in history.

5. Re-vamped Saree

Saree not sorry about this trend because it’s a really sexy revamp — taking the a traditional saree and spinning the pallu around to something rather modern and contemporary. By switching out the regular blouse with a shirt, or cinching the pallu at the waist with a belt, or even draping the pleats in a funkier manner, we’d really like to take this new-age trend into the next year.
