Q: What are you wearing today?
Kalki: I’m wearing a shirt and it’s really fantastic. It is got every possible colour on the planet. It has layering and each layer has different patterns. There’s a harness, there’s a jacket, there’s even work on the inside of the jacket on the outside. It’s really kind of a melange of science and magic and this idea that we live between reality and virtual reality today and everything is mixed together in the age of information.
Q: A summer skincare makeup hack?
Kalki: Don’t wear foundation in the summer, it just sweats. You need your skin to breathe.

Q: A celebrity wardrobe that would love to steal wardrobe?
Kalki: Celebrity wardrobe that I would love to steal–Beyonce along with her body as well.
Q: A fashion trend that you couldn’t be obsessed with fashion trends.
Kalki: Anything that doesn’t hurt my feet, sneakers, flip flops, soft clouds to walk on.
Q: What are the three clothing items, colours or styles that you will never wear?
Kalki: I don’t think you should, not ever wear anything you must experiment and try, but things I wouldn’t naturally lean towards are like animal prints. Anything that’s three-quarters on my calves because I have like fat calves. I don’t look the best in neon bright colours and you know like fluorescent yellow.

Q: Celebrities often slide into uncomfortable attires in the name of fashion. Have you ever done that?
Kalki: I don’t mind being uncomfortable if you are playing a character. If you’re going out for a special event, I think that’s the point of fashion that you can be more than one thing. And of course, when you’re being a mother, you’re gonna be in your comfy clothes. But when you’re out there on a special occasion, going for a wedding or going for a special night out. If you’re dancing, you want to put your shoes on and dance.

Q: Who are the women in your personal life or celebrities that have inspired your fashion?
Kalki: Many through the centuries, I think from the classics, like Audrey Hepburn to today Beyonce to like my friends. I have friends who are just so trendy. I think I get inspired all the time by different people. I remember Annie Hall is a huge inspiration when I was a teacher.

Q: What’s your go-to easy yoga routine like?
Kalki: I can’t start yoga without actually sweating first. So, I always start with like 100 or 200 skips. And that just gets my heart rate going and then, it’s a good half an hour of surya namaskars and stretching.

Q: Two things that you have to have on your cheat day?
Kalki: I’m a big fan of baked items, croissants and all those yummy things. That would be one. Second if I’m having something spicy like a kebab, then I love having a fizzy drink with it.
