Style in 2025 is rebellious, boundary-pushing, and unapologetically individual. And, the Bollywood star Vedang Raina embodies this fearless approach each time he shows up on our screens. In an exclusive chat with Hauterrfly, the actor talks about diving into festive dressing, wardrobe essentials, and the art of mixing the unexpected with AZORTE. With the campaign mantra, “You’re not mid, you’re just in the middle of your story,” Vedang shows that true fashion is experimental, personal, and entirely your own.
Vedang Raina Answers!
1. How do you define style in 2025? Has the definition changed for Gen Z?
A. Style in 2025 is about authenticity. For Gen Z, it’s less about fitting into a trend and more about owning your individuality. The definition has definitely shifted; it’s not about what’s “in” or “out,” but how you can make something yours. Gen Z thrives on experimenting, mixing high-low, and not taking fashion too seriously, and that’s what makes it exciting.
2. The campaign says, “You’re not mid, you’re just in the middle of your story.” What does being “in the middle” mean to you personally in your own journey right now?
A. For me, being ‘in the middle’ means embracing the process. I’m not at the beginning, where everything is just starting, and I’m not at the end either. I’m in this space where I’m learning, experimenting, sometimes failing, and sometimes surprising myself. It’s exciting because it’s the phase where growth actually happens.
3. Gen Z is always looking for spaces where they can truly be themselves. How does Azorte reflect that idea of a ‘safe space’ for you?
A. AZORTE feels like that safe space because it doesn’t box you into one aesthetic. The collection allows you to explore, whether you’re feeling edgy, minimal, playful, or festive. It mirrors Gen Z’s mood shifts and shows that you can try different sides of yourself without judgment.
4. Do you have a go-to festive style formula, something you always fall back on for weddings, Diwali, or holiday parties?
Yes, always a mix of comfort and statement. For me, it’s usually classic silhouettes with one strong element, like a bold jacket, a standout pair of shoes, or an interesting texture. I like keeping the look sharp but effortless, so I can enjoy the occasion without overthinking it.
5. What’s one style mistake you think people should stop worrying about?
Matching everything perfectly. Honestly, mismatched pieces or unexpected combinations often make the best looks. Fashion is supposed to be fun, not stressful.

6. If you had to pick three wardrobe essentials everyone should own, what would they be?
A. Honestly, for me, a great pair of denims that fit like a dream. A jacket instantly elevates any look. And some sneakers or boots that you can live in.
7. Since you and Khushi Kapoor are both part of this campaign, what’s one thing you like about her personal style?
I love how effortless Khushi’s style feels. She can take something really simple and make it look elevated just by the way she carries it.
