When it comes to fashion people often look up to celebrities for inspiration, ideas, hacks and whatnot. In an exclusive conversation with Hauterrfly Dunki actor Taapsee Pannu shared what she prefers in her style, how she accessories it with and her take on the rise of numerous fashion trends. The actor also recently collaborated with Vogue Eyewear for their new launch and shared her thoughts on the same.
Q. What advice would you give to someone looking to elevate their personal style and incorporate more fashion-forward pieces into their wardrobe including eyewear?
Taapsee Pannu: I would say, embrace your playful side! Fashion is all about self-expression and having fun with it. Don’t be afraid to mix things up, experiment with different styles, and add a pop of colour or some bold accessories to spice things up. With Vogue Eyewears Keep Playing campaign, it’s all about infusing every moment with joy and embracing the unexpected. So, whether you’re daydreaming, trying out new looks, or dancing to your own beat, just remember to stay true to yourself and let your personality shine through. Fashion is a way to express who you are, so have fun with it and don’t take yourself too seriously.
Q. What is your go-to fashion accessory that you feel naked without?
Taapsee Pannu: For me, it has to be a killer pair of sunglasses! Seriously, I feel like they’re my secret weapon. Not only do they add an instant cool factor to any outfit, but they also protect my eyes and give me that extra boost of confidence. Plus, they’re perfect for those days when I want
to add a bit of mystery or just hide the fact that I’ve had a late night! So yeah, you’ll rarely catch me without my favourite shades.
Q. How do you balance staying true to your style while also embracing new trends and evolving fashion preferences?
Taapsee Pannu: Its all about finding that sweet spot between staying true to yourself and being open to new ideas. For me, I always start with the basics, what makes me feel comfortable and confident. If a trend doesn’t resonate with me or fit my style, I’ll pass on it. I think it’s important to stay authentic and not just jump on the bandwagon because everyone else is doing it. At the same time, I’m always keeping an eye out for new inspirations and ideas. I love seeing how others interpret fashion and finding ways to incorporate elements that speak to me.
