Did you ever watch Gossip Girl? If you did, this outfit will immediately remind you of something Jenny Humphrey wore to Constance Billard, before she became queen. We all wore pinafores when we were kids. They might have been slightly different for each school, but the concept was pretty much the same: white shirt under a pinafore dress, a sash and Mary Janes. I got so sick of it in the end, I swore I’d never wear anything similar once I was out of school. Until now, that is.
Enter Esha Gupta and her cool AF style. She’s wearing what you wish you wore to the airport, slaying at award functions and pretty much winning all around when it comes to her sense of style. While I’m sure she’s impeccable even without a stylist, Aastha Sharma is responsible for some of her best looks. Including this one.
For the promotions of her upcoming movie, Esha wore a pair of black overalls from French Connection, which look very much like the pants version of the pinafore I wore in school. She paired it with a crisp white shirt underneath and a pair of pointy-toe stilettos. With her hair parted down the middle and the pop of orangey-red on her lips, she could very well be playing one of Blair Waldorf’s many fancily dressed minions.
