Taapsee Pannu’s collection of sarees has a fandom of its own and I am proudly a part of it. Giving India’s popular silhouette a twist each time, Taapsee has single-handedly made the drape popular on Russian streets and Indian runways alike. From choosing to wear some interesting pairings to experimenting with quirky prints, the Thappad actress never fails to impress us with her six yards of sheer elegance.
A crisp and befitting example of the same is her beautiful floral saree by designer label–Saroj Jalan. Replete with multi-hued, intricate floral embroidery, Taapsee’s ethereal blush pink drape was accompanied by a stunning long jacket, that she excellently styled with dewy and fresh face makeup. A perfect number for day wedding festivities, we are in love with Taapsee’s ensemble.
Keeping her saree streak alive, she earlier wore a beautiful red and beige saree, as she posed against a big Christmas Tree. Definitely a fun twist to holiday special wardrobe, we love, love the high-neck red blouse.
Being a keeper of quirky prints, Taapsee never fails to flaunt her collection and make us feel jealous. Then be it her beautiful–House of Hiya saree that came dipped in the coolest colours of summer, or even the multi-hued drape she wore for a book launch event, we want them all.
Not just prints, and fresh colours but Taapsee is known for her successful, unconventional pairings. Taking the ‘style your saree with anything and everything’ a bit too seriously, Taapsee’s note-worthy choice of a cotton saree teamed with blue blouse, and sneakers for a walk in Russia’s beautiful streets, is still one of my most favourite.
While Taapsee dares to style the drape with sneakers, she never fears teaming her sarees with sweaters and denim jackets alike. The Dunki star’s approach to draping a saree is a lesson in effortless styling, and how you too can welcome the gorgeous silhouette into your everyday wear wardrobe.
On the professional front, Taapsee Pannu will soon be seen sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in Rajkumar Hirani’s upcoming film–Dunki. We can’t wait to watch this one.
