Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, is doing great at the box office. There is a lot of conversation around the film, and many people have criticised the massive age gap between Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun. Sara’s character plays the love interest of Ranveer’s character. This did not sit well with the audience, and recently, casting director Mukesh Chhabra addressed this criticism and spoke about the casting. Read on.
What Did Mukesh Chhabra Say?
The popular casting director Mukesh Chhabra recently addressed the conversation around the age gap between Sara Arjun and Ranveer Singh in Dhurandhar. During an interview with Free Press Journal, Mukesh Chhabra said that he laughed when he read about the discussion around the age gap between Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun. The casting director added that there are good actors who come under the age bracket of 26-27; however, he also said that the casting was done according to the brief that he got for the film. According to the interview, Mukesh Chhabra also clarified that the demand of the script was a girl who Ranveer’s Hamza was trying to trap. He also said that the people talking about the age-gap would get all the answers in the second part of the film. For the unversed, the second part of Dhurandhar will hit the theatres in March, 2026.
Mukesh Chhabra also added that everything could not be explained to the public.
For the unversed, Dhurandhar is receiving a lot of praise for its direction, storytelling and performances. The audience cannot get over Akshaye Khanna’s performance as Rahman Dakait.
