Cannes Film Festival has been one of the most awaited events this year. And we’ve been loving our beautiful divas, who have been representing India on the global stage. From Deepika Padukone to Urvashi Rautela, celebrities have already made a smashing entry at the Cannes Film Festival on Day 1. Let’s take a look at what they wore.

Deepika Padukone

An official member of the jury at the film festival, Deepika Padukone opted for designer Sabyasachi to mark her first day at the film festival. Dressed in a sequinned saree that draws inspiration from the Royal Bengal Tiger, Deepika’s block printed, hand-embroidered drape was teamed with a dainty hairband, chandelier earrings and multiple finger rings. The entire day was about channelling a ‘retro girl’ aesthetic for our very own Ms Padukone. For makeup, Deepika opted for a matte look, and painted her lids with thick, dramatic eyeliner, pretty much like the Julia Fox signature eye look. Sarees are truly fantastic!

Tamannaah Bhatia

Making her debut at the Cannes Film Festival, Tamannaah arrived in a monochrome outfit by designer duo– Gauri And Nainika. The massive, ruffled attire incorporated a ruffled black and white peplum, teamed with a fish-cut long skirt. The attire also included a very long train of white fabric, that gave the ensemble a beautiful two-tone look. Styled by celebrity stylist Shaleena Nathani, Tamannaah teamed the look with diamond earrings, and styled her hair into soft retro curls. For makeup, Tamannaah channelled a soft-glam and just added a winged eyeliner to top it all off. Not so stunning, but it’s her first.

Urvashi Rautela

Another debutant at the Cannes Film Festival was Urvashi Rautela. As dreamy as it looks, Urvashi’s white ruffled tulle gown was pulled out from the archives of designer Tony Ward. The one-shouldered extreme ruffled, white gown was adorned with grapes like gold embellishments on the waist and shoulder. She further teamed the look with a neat, braided bun, silver statement earrings, bracelet and rings from Messika Paris. Urvashi went ahead with a full face makeup look, as she painted her lids with winged eyeliner and deep red lip shade. We’re not really in love with the gown but love the hairdo.
