Right when you thought she was out of the scene because of her international shoot schedule for xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage, Deepika Padukone gave us the best ‘comeback’ look ever. And it seems like we’re in for a season 2.0 as far as her fashionable moves are concerned. Gosh, how we missed this woman’s sartorial inputs!
In the past year, Deepika has done justice to every ensemble that she’s donned, and given it a personality like no other. So much so that here at Hauterfly, we even touted her as THE style inspiration we look for. Come to think of it, her style is right on fleek, irrespective of what she wears — Indian, Western, or contemporary. And thankfully she has NEVER disappointed us.
At a recent Vogue Eyewear event, stylist Shaleena Nathani got Deepika to work summer’s trendiest look — the off-shoulder top. If you haven’t noticed yet, let me tell you that Deepika can mix up more than one seasonal trend and be the talk of the town for all the right reasons. And she’s done exactly that this time around as well.
She works an off-shoulder top with exaggerated flared sleeves by Cord with a pair of cropped roomy pants from Tome. Accessorising with a pair of tasselled chandelier earrings from Intermix, she finished her look with pumps by Christian Louboutin. IMO, this is a WIN for Deepika, given that it’s her first event here post her international stint. Also, for all of you who haven’t jumped on the off-shoulder trend already, here’s a valid reason why you should try it.
