Deepika Padukone Tunes Into Her Classic Saree Avatar For Time 100 Impact Awards, And No Prizes For Guessing The Designer

Like every Indian female actress who keeps a bag full of sarees for special occasions, Deepika Padukone too accepted the honour at TIME 100 Impact Awards, last night in a Sabyasachi saree. Much like Deepika’s regular choices, her saree for the big night incorporated a sleeveless sequins blouse, handwork on a sheer champaign coloured drape featuring tonal thread work and sequins. Adding her magic to the celebrated designer’s creation, Deepika’s stylist Shaleena Nathani styled the look with Sabyasachi jewellery including a multi-layered pearl choker, with a matching pair of earrings.

Relying on her usual messy bun, Deepika Padukone added some shimmer to her eyelids and went ahead for a matte look. Giving some seak peek into the look and the process of finalising one, Deepika kept her fans posted through a number of videos, that gave us some insights about her hair and make-up routine, saree selection and ofcourse her two bits before leaving for the venue. Expressing about her nervousness on camera, Deepika said “I am nervous, I don’t know why, I’ve written some stuff and I hope it’s meaningful. I just want to have fun.”
