Deepika Padukone’s penchant for delicate prints in ethnic wear has always been love at first sight for us. Being a forever Sabyasachi girl, the actress’ pick in traditional occasion wear has often relied on easy silhouettes to make a mark. The Gehraiyaan star, who is currently in the United States, attended an NRI convention called Konkani Sammelan with her husband Ranveer Singh. The two opted for traditional ethnic wear for the special event and clicked a million pictures with the attendees and their fans. While it is always so lovely to watch these lovebirds together, Deepika’s sartorial pick did not fail to catch our attention.

For the convention, the actress was spotted dressed in a stunning kurta set. The ensemble featured an oversized pink kurta, decorated with exquisite bandhani, throughout the fabric. What added a special regal touch to the kurta was the massive gold, hand-embroidered neckline, and zari motif taking a spot at the back. Deepika further teamed her pink kurta with wide-legged palazzo pants, that incorporated a beautiful sheer, cut-work border and a pink dupatta, featuring massive floral motifs.

Keeping the look extremely minimal, Ms Padukone reused her signature formula of traditional dressing and decided to add a pair of gold chaandbaalis to her look. She styled her hair into a messy, low bun and chose to wear beige heels to complete the look. Deepika Padukone’s take on styling traditional wear, makes even the most difficult silhouettes like a saree look breezy and super easy.
