Jr NTR, Deepika Padukone, Rihanna: The Many Best-Dressed Stars At Oscars 2023

 The 95th Academy Awards was big on inclusivity, as talents from different continents across the globe, took the centre stage. On Hollywood’s biggest night, Indian celebrities from Ram Charan, and Deepika Padukone to the magnanimous Rihanna, turned heads on the red carpet. For the historic moment, with RRR winning the Oscars, Ram Charan and Jr NTR chose to represent India with custom-made looks. 

Ram Charan And Jr NTR 

Choosing Indian designers for the big night, the dancing men of–“Naatu Naatu,” wore spectacular matching black looks. Ram Charan wore an Achkan by Shantnu And Nikhil. In pictures, we spotted the star in a form-fitted, bandhgala jacket, teamed with a black kurta, and a pair of pants. The embellished buttons and a detailed brooch on the side weaved the crisp look. Like him, his RRR co-star was a vision in black sherwani by designer Gaurav Gupta seemed like the perfect choice for the special night. Sitting on the corner, was a unique lion motif, roaring with grace for the momentous occasion.

Deepika Padukone 

Another popular Indian face trusted black to walk the red carpet at the Oscars. The actress picked a custom-made Louis Vuitton look, featuring a black gown, with a little fitted flounce, a sweetheart neckline, and Cartier jewellery. Padukone further styled the look with a loosely tied hair bun and opera gloves. Classic and neat in tailoring, the outfit turned heads and made her one of the most well-dressed stars of the evening.

Guneet Monga 

The woman who scripted history, with a spectacular win for Elephant Whispers, a film producer–Guneet Monga, took home the fabulous Oscars awards, in a fuchsia pink, Kanjeevaram saree. The silhouette featured an intricate golden overlay on the luxurious silk saree, which matched her golden jewellery. She further styled the saree with a full-sleeved plain blouse and a little patly purse.

Rihanna 

Rihanna made way for some signature glamour and looked spectacular as the mom-to-be. The songstress turned heads in a Maison Alaia gown. The custom-made, see-through finish of the silhouette featured a heavy mix of fabrics. An overlay of the leather neckline, and a side cut detail, topped over a sheer chocolate brown fabric, turned Rihanna, the most well-dressed star from the evening. The Queen, walked on the red carpet, with a massive fabric train, and hair tied into a fountain top-knot. Definitely a moment!

Ana de Armas

Ana de Armas turned guests to Louis Vuitton, in a custom-made gown. The chrome, ivory silhouette featured twinkling embroidery all over the fabric, a corseted bodice and a little flounce. Adding more drama to the entire look, were little, cut-work details of floral patches, and a tiny train. She further trusted a glam makeup look, with straighter hair and rosy lip colour.

Florence Pugh 

The woman wore a unique number by her favourite–Maison Valentino. Pugh’s pick for the big night, was a monumental gown, with a front-open slit. Peeking the front, was a black, form-fitted lining. The shoulders featured a similar drama of collected fabric, and sculpted balloon sleeves. She further styled the look using a pair of black Valentino platforms, a statement silver neckpiece, and hair styled into a top-knot.

Mindy Kaling 

Mindy Kaling looked breathtakingly gorgeous in a Vera Wang gown. The classic, white corset gown, featured a semi-sheer bodice, teamed with a little waist detailing, and a column-esqué appeal. The noodle-strap sleeve was accompanied by detachable sleeves. She further accessorised the look with a pair of dazzling earpieces and gelled-up hair.

Malala

Popular social activist–Malala Yousafzai’s outfit for the evening was a big nod to this year’s biggest trend–the hooded gown. The glittery, sequin gown by Ralph Lauren featured a form-fitted bodice, pleated waist and a little train. The sequin dress featured a hood, gracing her head and full sleeves. She further completed the look with a red lip colour and hair sealed at the back.
