From Emerald Earrings To Bangles, Deepika Padukone’s Guide To Styling Festive Jewellery

Haaye, her taste in jewellery is top tier!

India is gearing up for the festive season and we’re excited for all the laddoos, and dhols. From hooping Ganpati pandals to dressing up in bright colours, the festive season brings with it the excitement of wearing festive outfits. Be it decorating your hair with fresh flowers or styling some fabulous ethnic jewellery, there is so much that you can choose for the festive season. And who better than Bollywood stars to help you with something new? Actress Deepika Padukone’s kitty of ethnic jewellery will help you slay a perfect look during this season of festivals!

Fine Emeralds

Style emeralds like Deepika Padukone, in the form of earrings. For most occasions, Padukone loves to pick an emerald-encrusted pair of earrings for a little colour therapy. When wearing monochrome ethnic looks, the actress brings a hint of green with Kundan and emerald earrings. She prefers simple designs that add to her dramatic necklines and designer wear kurtas and sarees.

Magical Mohawk

Padukone is the perfect person to learn some experimental styling. The actress doesn’t shy away from giving modern-day jewellery designs a spot in her wardrobe. In collaboration with her longtime stylist, Padukone styled a mohawk-esqué maangtika and paired it with a pair of kundan-encrusted ear cuffs. This is an interesting piece to combine with festive coordinated sets.

Jhumkas Forever

A sucker for shoulder-grazing jhumkas, Deepika suggests styling one with kurta sets. In terms of festive fashion, Padukone’s kitty is often filled with unique earring designs. Like these umbrella-shaped earrings, she styled a sharara set, with a pair of juttis.

Chunky Bangles

For dressers who love to go all out with chunky jewellery pieces, Deepika’s stack of golden bangles and shoulder-grazing earrings are the perfect match. Like Padukone, you can style them with printed sarees or go for simple fabric options, and muted colours. For the rest, you can tie your hair into a top-knot bun, and allow your jewellery to take centre stage.

Rosey Hair

The easiest way of giving your hair a festive update is by adding a bunch of colourful roses. Like Deepika, you can pick shaded roses and dress your hair bun. You can also match your hair with the print of your saree, and maintain the balance with simple earring designs, and subtle makeup.
