From ‘XXX’ To ‘Pathaan,’ We Love Deepika Padukone As A Fierce Fashionista In Her Action Films

Actress Deepika Padukone has been ruling Bollywood, ever since her big debut in Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om. The actress so far has managed to pick and perfectly play a variety of roles that range from period drama to a fighter. But what has stuck through each of her performances, is her unique style. With many already impressed with her first few looks from the blockbuster, Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathaan, Padukone continues to keep her promise of slaying as the leading lady in action films. Chandni Chowk To China
The 2009 film starring Akshay Kumar, saw Padukone playing the double role of twin sisters–Sakhi and Suzi. Playing the role of the female assassin as Suzi, the actress performed some dangerous stunts and won our hearts in action sequences with Akshay Kumar. For this film, the actress mixed a hint of Chinese style with desi Indian, by sporting hair bangs, sharp eyeliner and tinted rosy lip colour. She was also seen sporting the traditional Chinese Cheongsam in a statement red colour. Soon, the actress’ look in the film became extremely popular, and her fans tried replicating it in real life.
Race 2
The 2013 film by Abbas Mastan, featured Deepika as Alina Malik. In the action thriller sequel of the popular film Race, the actress pulled off stunts on the big screen, as easily as she walked in a bikini. For the first time on the big screen, the actress’ character became a fashion inspiration for her fans, with a gamut of slit dresses, bikini styles and breezy gowns resting in her closet.

XXX: Return Of Xander Cage
Later in 2017, Padukone marked her big Hollywood debut in the blockbuster film–XXX, opposite Vin Diesel. Playing the role of Serena Unger, Deepika again experimented with fight sequences and attempted stunts for the big film project. Besides her fierce role, the actress’ all-black, leather-adorned wardrobe remained a favourite amongst her fans, who seemed obsessed with her onscreen character–Serena’s classic black look. As Serena, Padukone also introduced us to the idea of uber-cool, body tattoos and rekindled our love for statement red lip colour.

Pathaan
For her latest release Pathaan, the actress performed some high-voltage action, stunts and sequences where she pans a gun. Showcasing her best moves while fighting and performing a hawt dance number on the beaches of Spain, the actress already impressed the internet with her out-and-out statement bikinis. Styled by her longtime stylist–Shaleena Nathani, Padukone is here to kickstart new trends of body chains, statement snake earrings and sporty chic. And if we are to believe the early reviews of the film, Padukone has definitely packaged drama, romance, action and fashion for her character in Pathaan.
