During the conversation, Ameira Punvani was asked if any real-life personalities or fashion icons inspire Honey Bunny’s style. To this, she replied saying, “Oh, Honey and Bunny’s looks were a mix tape of real-life inspirations! I spent hours in the NIFT Library, researching ‘90s Bollywood icons like Sanjay Dutt, Bobby Deol, and Ajay Devgn—guys who had that effortless ‘cool guy’ vibe.” Well, we guess she understood the assignment because Varun Dhawan’s costumes reflected the true essence of the 90s!

She continued, “For the ladies? Neelam Kothari, Divya Bharti, and Karisma Kapoor were my go-to’s. But we didn’t just stop at Bollywood; I also brought in some American influences like Jennifer Aniston’s casual chic from Friends. It was a blend of cinematic glam and real-world street style. So, yeah, Honey Bunny’s wardrobe is pure character-driven, iconic goodness with a side of nostalgia, of course.”

Fashion and character design often hold the power to make audiences connect instantly, and the styling of Honey and Bunny does just that. The looks crafted for these characters are a love letter to the iconic trends of the ’90s, a carefully curated blend of cinematic nostalgia and real-world cool.
