As we bid the festival of lights a final goodbye, its after-effects in the rising rate of air pollution, and festive fashion will meet us around for a while. Trends, as contributed by our favourite celebrities, have already made it to designer racks and our mood boards of the still pending season of shaadis. From swimming in the sea of the latest cuts to trying out new style techniques, there is so much that one needs to ponder upon. But thanks to Bollywood’s most stylish batch of stars, we at least have our inspirations in place. With respect to colours, and consciously cut cholis, celebrities from Sonam, Rhea Kapoor to Anushka Sharma, worked really hard to light up their Instagrams and serve us with some style moments of the season. Headlining the trend charts were embellished mohawks, designer matha pattis, highlighter greens and glitter in abundance. So, as we take a tour of our favourite festive looks, as sported by these stars, let’s chart down the festive trends of the season, that you definitely can pick and pose in, at weddings.

Colour Me Up

The rising demand for one-0f-a-kind shades, has inaugurated the homecoming of evergreen neons and sparkling salmon pinks. Taking the love and light memo, too seriously was actress Anushka Sharma, who dazzled in a peppy green Sabyasachi saree and served the much-needed Diwali glamour. Besides Sharma, actress Ananya Panday’s Bollywood-inspired red saree by designer Nachiket Barve was hard to miss.

Daring Jewellery

Competing with the undeniable charm of heirloom jewellery were a few trendsetting designs, that did sprinkle sass on many celebrity looks. Taking the plunge with her choice of jewels, was new mom–Sonam Kapoor, who packaged a daring Anamika Khanna look, with an embellished mohawk-esqué mangtika. Besides Sonam, actress Malaika Arora’s Misho hoop choker, and Janhvi Kapoor’s rhinestone hair band, were some tricky and interesting choices made by celebrities.

Head Turning Concept Sarees, Capes And Jackets

The homecoming of cape coverups and crumpled jackets was a visible affair at many starry Diwali parties. Making a case for one, were actresses Athiya Shetty, Rhea Kapoor, Malaika Arora, and Neha Dhupia. Gender-fluid festive wear was no less spectacular, as sported by Rhea Kapoor. Constructing a look in one, the multi-hyphenate loaned elements from designer labels Antar Agni and Anamika Khanna to dished out an impeccable combination for us.

Itty Bitty Very Pretty Bags

To match a sprightful piece of lehenga and saree were itty bitty, tiny bags. For celebrities, the idea of spacious carry bags was easily replaced by festive potlis, twinkling slings, and pearl flap bags. While these bags refused to carry anything beyond their phones, celebrities masterfully placed their favourites, like a cherry on top of the cake.
